Vietetään yhdessä Eurooppa-päivää – #EuropeDay
Tutustu EU:n toimintaan avoimien ovien päivänä
Eurooppa-päivää vietetään joka vuosi 9. toukokuuta. Tuona päivänä vuonna 1950 julkaistiin Schumanin julistus, joka oli lähtölaukaus Euroopan yhdentymiselle ja rauhanyhteistyölle.
Vuosipäivän johdosta pidettiin EU:n toimielimissä avoimien ovien päivä lauantaina 4.5.2024. Tarjolla oli monenlaisia tapahtumia ja aktiviteetteja Brysselissä, Luxemburgissa, Strasbourgissa ja muualla eri EU-maissa. Kävijät saivat myös tietoa lähestyvistä EU-vaaleista, joissa äänestetään maasta riippuen 6.–9.6.2024.
Päivä oli mainio tilaisuus perehtyä siihen, miten EU vaikuttaa arjessamme ja miten me itse voimme vaikuttaa EU:n toimintaan.
